Aswan
Nile-side community work and Nubian culture at the country's southern edge.
Why Aswan
Aswan sits where the Nile is at its most dramatic — granite outcrops, felucca sails, and Egypt's southern border with Nubia. Mornings run through a hands-on service project with a local Nubian community partner — school support, a mural, or a small repair project — before afternoons at Philae Temple and the unfinished obelisk in the ancient quarries. A felucca sunset sail down the Nile is a daily-rhythm fixture, along with an evening in a Nubian home for a cooked meal and music. The pace here is slower and more relational than Egypt's bigger cities — the point is depth with one community, not a checklist of sites.
