Rabat to the High Atlas to Marrakech — real service alongside Amazigh villagers and a cross-cultural exchange with Moroccan students.
Why Morocco
Morocco is home to Bridges Without Borders, Impact OG's international CAS experience: seven days, six nights, Cairo to Rabat to the High Atlas to Marrakech and back, for ages 12–18. Each day moves through three registers — connect (a rotating Arabic/French/English "speed conversation" exchange with Moroccan peers), serve (hands-on community work shaped around whatever the local partner actually needs, not a fixed script), and create (a documentary or storytelling project built from real interviews, not a photo of one) — closing with a written reflection every night. Rabat opens the trip with a youth exchange and a self-directed discovery walk through the Kasbah of the Udayas; the High Atlas is the service core, working alongside Amazigh villagers and learning how mountain water systems actually work; Marrakech closes it with a storytelling project built from real conversations with local shopkeepers and artisans, plus the souks and Jemaa el-Fnaa. Every trip maps to all 7 CAS Learning Outcomes against specific, real moments in the itinerary — not a generic checklist — and students leave with a digital CAS portfolio: goals logged before the trip, photos, service logs, and reflections during it, a final reflection after. Local partner: Impact OG is currently evaluating Moroccan host organizations based in Rabat and the High Atlas capable of hosting a 30-student group; confirmed per trip.
